A Dermatologist has satisfied the requirements of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology which include the following post-Veterinary School achievements:

an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery (1 year)
publication of an article in a peer-reviewed scientific journal
presentation of a research project at a meeting of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology
passing a rigorous 2 day examination to become a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology
